Reefsleep: Sleep With the Fish on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef

If you’re a lover of the great outdoors, of natural evolving reef life and the great open water, then head Down Under for Fantasea’s once-in-a-lifetime experience, where you can sleep with the fish. Literally.

That’s right. You can enjoy the solitude of spending the night right on the reef. Located at the Reefworld pontoon at Hardy Reef, 40 nautical miles from the mainland, this specially designed floating adventure platform hosts Reefsleep.

At Reefworld, you’ll come face to face with schools of tropical reef fish and coral formations. You can take a guided snorkeling tour with an experienced reef interpreter or get even closer to the underwater world and try a scuba dive. Reefworld’s facilities include a large, seated underwater viewing chamber, a safe and secure diving area, a large sundeck with boundless views of the surrounding reef systems, a tailor-made viewing area on deck to see the massive Queensland Groper living beneath the platform, change rooms, fresh water showers and extensive shaded areas.

The Reefsleep package includes overnight accommodation (maximum six people), alfresco dinner including wine, full breakfast, buffet lunches, sunset cocktails, two scuba dives or guided snorkeling safari, and use of facilities including the underwater viewing chamber, semi-submersible and waterslide.
