Thanks to the green governance of Mayor Richard M. Daley,  and an increased environmental awareness by both locals and businesses, Chicago is regarded as one of the world’s most eco-friendly and livable cities.

“Chicago is not only a world-class destination, but it is also one the most environmentally friendly cities in the United States,” said Mayor Daley. “I encourage visitors and residents to participate in Chicago’s green attractions and learn how to better protect and preserve our environment.”
