To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day on April 21, online travel agency Expedia.com®, has expanded its Green Hotel program, with over 1700 Green hotels on its books. If environmental sustainability is at the top of your list when planning your next holiday, Expedia.com now has a slew of appropriate hotels on its books that are certified by organizations including Green Seal, Green Key, LEEDS key, LEEDS and STEP.
The company is also partnering with TerraPass to create carbon-offset bundles, based on distance flown, to fund clean energy and carbon reduction projects. Travelers can add a TerraPass to their flight by utilizing the “Travel Accessories” section of the trip customization page.
